JULY 21, 2008 ... Rhode and McGrath Take Home National Championship Titles in Skeet COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. The Men's and Women's Skeet finals concluded the final day of competition at the 2008 USA Shooting National Championships for Shotgun with Jon Michael McGrath and Kim Rhode capturing national titles.
McGrath (Tulsa, Okla), Frank Thompson (Alliance, Neb.) and Scott Schroeder (Niceville, Fla.) all finished the Men's Open final tied at 310 targets. In an exciting shoot-off, McGrath shot 18 targets to Thompson's 17 and Schroeder's five to take home the title. Thompson claimed second place, while Schroeder took third. Allen Treadwell (Seligman, Mo.) and BJ Blanchard (Vidor, Texas) each ended the final with a score of 305 targets. Treadwell took fourth place after shooting 14 targets in the shoot-off, while Blanchard shot 13. U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit (USAMU) member and 2004 Olympian Shawn Dulohery (Lee's Summit, Mo.) finished in sixth place with 302 targets. MORE...
March 13-15, 2008...Jon Michael McGrath finished 4th in the 2008 Olympic Team Trials. The score for the Olympic Team Trials for International Skeet was a combination of two selection matches, the 2007 Fall Selection Match (250 Targets) held last September and the 2008 Spring Selection Match(250 Targets + 25 Target Final).
At the end of the 2007 Fall Selection Match, Jon Michael was in 10th place. By the end of the 1st day of the 2008 Fall Selection Match he had climbed in he standings to 5th place. He maintained his position through the second day of competition. On the third and final day of 2008 Spring Selection Match he posted 2 scores of 25 straight and topped it off by shooting 24 out of 25 in the Championship round for a final score of 497 out of 525. Congratulation to Vincent Hancock and Randal McLelland who will represent the United States in the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China.

Jan 16-19, 2008...Jon Michael McGrath finished 4th in the Barbados Open Skeet Championship on the Island of Barbados. 7 Countries were represented.
Sept. 11, 2007...Jon Michael McGrath just returned from the 2007 World Clay Target Championships in Nicosia, Cyprus, where he helped claim the silver medal for the U.S. Junior Mens skeet team along with two teammates. more...
